SFS Academy celebrated Teachers’ Day September 5 with great enthusiasm to honour the invaluable contributions of the educators. The teachers were welcomed into the school premises with a small gift and each one lit a lamp at the entrance.
The formal celebration began in the school basketball court at 9 AM. Teachers were escorted with the band and greeted with a rose flower. The Chief Guest for the event, Rev. Fr. Thomas Kuttanikal delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the efforts of teachers in shaping the future of the students. A mesmerizing cultural program was organised by the students of grade VIII and the school cabinet. Everyone appreciated the skit which depicted a day in a teacher’s life.
Balloons were let off into the sky wherein teachers wrote heartfelt messages to their first and favourite teachers. A special surprise came in the form of a rap song performed by the students, under the guidance of the Principal, Academic Coordinators and teachers from the Dept. of Music.
After the formal programme, the student cabinet organised several games for the entertainment of teachers. A special luncheon was arranged for all the teachers of the SFS Group of Institutions, which provided an opportunity for the teachers to relax and enjoy a celebratory meal together.
