Esperanto '25

SFS Academy hosted its annual sports meet, ESPERANTO ’25, over two energetic and action-packed days, reflecting the spirit of its motto: “Play Hard, Dream Big.” The meet brought together students, staff, and dignitaries in a vibrant celebration of athletic skill and sportsmanship.

The meet commenced on November 27, 2025, with a grand opening ceremony. The programme began with an introduction, a prayer dance, and a warm welcome address. The ceremonial flag hoisting was led by the Chief Guest, Mr. P. N. Prakash, Arjuna Awardee and Olympian, known for representing India in the 10m Air Pistol and 50m Pistol events. The School Anthem was followed by the lighting of the sports torch by the Chief Guest, representing courage and determination. A disciplined march past by the four houses, led by the school cabinet members, added splendour to the ceremony. Students then took the Oath of Sportsmanship, pledging fair play and integrity. In his inspiring message, Mr. Prakash officially declared ESPERANTO ’25 open.

A special recognition ceremony honoured Ms. Aarna Bhati, who secured the Best Administrator Award at the Young Indians Parliament. The inaugural programme concluded with a vibrant dance performance, a vote of thanks, and the National Anthem. Sports events began immediately after, marking a thrilling day of inter-house competitions.

The meet concluded on November 28, 2025, with an impressive closing ceremony. After the athletes assembled, a welcome address set the tone for the day. The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. A. Nayaga Seelan, Administrator of Suvidya College, who felicitated the achievers for their outstanding performances.

The overall house results were then announced:
Nifty Knights (Green House) emerged as the Overall Champions, while Invincible Samurais (Blue House) were declared Runners-up.
The event concluded with the formal flag retreat, the Chief Guest’s declaration of closure, the final vote of thanks, and the National Anthem.
In his closing remarks, Fr. Johnson praised the dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm of all participants, teachers, and organisers, marking ESPERANTO '25 a memorable success.
