SFS Academy’s Cultural and Literary Fest, CARPE DIEM ’24 led us with the mindset to try new approaches, strive for continuous improvement and ultimately thrive in our cultural endeavours. The tagline ‘Try, Strive and Thrive’, Try, encapsulates the spirit and dedication that guides us through challenges and opportunities.

The Fest’s opening ceremony was celebrated on August 22, 2024, and was graced by the dignitaries, Mr. A Eugene Yuvraj, Drums Instructor, Seven Octave and Fr. Staney Rodrigues msfs, Principal, St. Francis de Sales PU College. The day dawned with much excitement as the students of the four houses, Legendary Spartans (Red House), Ambitious Avengers (Yellow House), Invincible Samurais (Blue House) and Nifty Nights (Green House) were thrilled to take part in the different solo events. On day 2, August 23, 2024, the students competed with zeal and enthusiasm in the various group events.

The overall championship was bagged by the Invincible Samurais (Blue House) and Legendary Spartans (Red House) took the second place. Fr. Albin Puthenveettil, msfs, Professor, St. Francis de Sales Degree College, awarded the winners of various solo and group events with certificates and medals. The day ended with the collective efforts of everyone who constantly tried new strategies, strived for greater heights and thrived to be excellent.
